Science History of Tunguska

In 1908 in the Tunguska River Valley of Siberia, a cataclysmic event (suggested as a meteor, a comet, or an airburst that occured above the earth) felled more than 200 million trees. The soil of the Tunguska region became saturated with a dense organic infusion richer even than volcanic ash. Dense organic infusion occurs in 1908 in the Tunguska River Valley of Siberia.

Geologist Leonid Kulik visits the Tunguska site between 1927 and 1930. He reports that lush, green vegetation is emerging from beneath felled trees and charred earth.

Between 1931 and 1949, expeditions to the Tunguska River Valley are halted because of World War 11 and Soviet Communism.

In the 1950s, researchers find that trees surviving the blast are growing at accelerated rates, and the new plant life is growing at four times the usual rate.

G.F. Plekhanov and his team test the genes of pine trees from the Tunguska area in the 1960s. They conclude that the trees are growing one-third larger than their usual size.

In the 1970s, V.A. Dragavtsev uses a mathematical algorithm, determining that a cellular change had sharply increased the growing power of the Tunguska vegetation.

Nuclear physicist Menotti Galli of Bologna, Italy, visits Tunguska in the 1980s. He determines that embedded in the Tunguska vegetation are unusual concentrations of essential minerals known for their ability to conduct energy.
